Dancers learn the artistic sport of light and heavy shoe dancing. Dancers may choose to enter into local, national and international competitive feiseanna.
Beginners – from reception age, learning the basic skills and technique of light shoe dancing. Preparing to enter light shoe dances into local competitions.
Primary – Continuing with light shoe technique and starting to learn heavy shoe drills and dances. Entering both light and heavy shoe dancers into local competitions.
Intermediate and Open – Progressing to the more advanced and intricate rhythm of heavy shoes and set dances. Preparing for preliminary and Open Championship competitions at national and international level.
Ceili Squad is an invitation only class. Dancers need to be taking at least two solo classes to be eligible.
Teams are entered into national and international ceili competitions every year.
Commitment to the team is for the academic year September – July.
